Cobblestone block pattern using a collection of red and black fabrics; pieced borders using the same fabrics.
Yes, it took 5 years to finish this one. It took a good six months to collect the fabrics. After I had most of the squares sewn, it took forever to decide on the layout. I’ve lost count on how many layouts I tried.
I sewed additional squares and swapped them in, hoping for a solution. At one point, I covered it with a sheet so I wouldn’t have to look at it anymore. I finally came up with a workable design and finished it. It now hangs in my office at work.
