Glitter Christmas fabrics from Makower and some other manufacturers
I cut out the preliminary strips and then put the project away for a few years. The idea was for me to finish the other quilts in progress (Going Snow Global, gift quilts, etc.) first.
1/2017 Finally got back to this quilt and finished cutting the block units. The main section of the quilt is sewn together, but I need to add 2 borders.
5/2017 Sewed on the borders, pieced the backing, and prepped the binding. The quilt is on hold until we get cooler weather. It’s too hot in the summer to wrestle a quilt through the sewing machine!
12/2017 Sandwiched and did most of the machine quilting.

I think this is my first completed needlepoint picture. I did this project before I knew about the basketweave stitch and how to properly block and store woolen needlepoint. There is some damage to the item due to poor storage (missing stitches in the background and cat’s chest).
